A softshell jacket (SM20/SM21) or bodywarmer (SM18/SM19) folded flat is approximately 40×30×4cm — it fits inside the XL with room for accessories. A structured 16-20L backpack (EcoRidge, PackLite, Cabin Flight Bag) requires the XL footprint to ship flat rather than being forced into an undersized box. Measure the unboxed kit before confirming XL vs. L.
No third-party sustainability certifications (FSC®, PEFC, or equivalent) are confirmed for the SoPack boxes on the product page. The corrugated cardboard construction is a recyclable material, and the box is described as 'eco-friendly' — but no formal certification audit trail is confirmed.
